In the Autumn of 2015 we wanted to make a change to how we approached our businesses support of charitable events. We had previously supported charities, but this had been sporadic. We made a decision to introduce representatives within the wider team to ensure any staff idea was listened to and if appropriate, organised with support by the company.
Since we introduced our internal charity volunteers and representatives we have had a supported event on average every 2 months. Each event has averaged around £100 per event. Our single most successful event involved dress down, cake sale and raffle prizes, raising £275 in 2 days!
Various charities of all sizes have been supported, from local charities specific to our region, through to national charities that have an influence the world over.
We continue to actively support our staff and team members with their charity ideas and look forward to setting new records levels of support; our aim for 2017 is to break our single event contribution of £275, watch this space!
